Dear Anonymouse Community,

Unfortunately, we have to inform you today that we can no longer continue. In the beginning, our goal was to create a free basis of anonymity on the Internet for all people - simple privacy protection for everyone who does not have much money or cannot afford expensive privacy services.

The considerable costs for the project were financed through VIP members. Their number steadily decreased over the years. Ultimately, this decline in membership led to the point where we are no longer able to cover the operating costs for servers and ongoing operations. We therefore have to give up.

We do not want to become dependent on investors. Donations from philanthropists are not in sight. This may also be due to our poor communication: We not only offered privacy protection, but also lived it ourselves. The protection of our privacy was always very important to us in order not to be compromised.

Especially the core members who stood up for freedom projects in countries with state repression should not be put in danger. That is why we avoided and still avoid the public. These are simple people who put their commitment into the cause - investing much free time and money into the project.

At the (preliminary) end of this long journey, we thank all VIP members who have supported us and still want to support us. Donations are still possible. Only then can we perhaps get out of this without losses and possibly maintain a minimal operation for existing VIP members.
